President Trump’s pick to be the next Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke Rollins was confirmed by the United States Senate on February 13, 2025.  Rollins assumes the role immediately and will work to help implement President Trump’s agenda.  During President Trump’s first term, Sonny Perdue held the position of Secretary of Agriculture.

Rollins is from Texas, where she was born and graduated from Texas A&M before earning her law degree from the University of Texas.  Rollins was raised on a farm in Glen Rose, Tx. Rollins previously served as deputy general counsel, ethics advisor and policy director to Texas governor Rick Perry.  Rollins oversaw the White House Office of American Innovation under President Trump from 2018-2020.  Most recently Rollins has served as the president and CEO of the America First Policy Institute.

Rollins was confirmed with an overwhelming 72-28 vote in the United States Senate.  Rollins nomination was unanimously approved by the Senate’s agriculture committee.
