Freda Dean, chairperson of WHOO, Walking Horses Overcoming Obstacles, announced that the Walking Horse Trainers' Auxiliary, Inc. will be accepting grant applications for 501(c)3 facilities working with mentally or physically challenged children and adults. Last year, various facilities working with these children and adults received $10,000 in grants.  The Money Tree Classic and other Auxiliary events directly fund these endeavors.

This year's funds will be determined by the Auxiliary membership at their annual meeting during the Trainers' Banquet. The WHOO program was established by the Auxiliary in 1999 and has donated over $100,000 in grants since 2011.

Applications must be emailed to [email protected] by February 9, 2025, to be considered for a grant.
