With heavy hearts, the equine community mourns the loss of Pro V-1, a true athlete and accomplished show horse whose remarkable career was defined by championship performances, determination and an unmistakable will to give his all every time he entered the show ring.

Pro V-1 proved his greatness from the very beginning. In 2010, he captured the Two-Year-Old World Grand Championship, making his mark on the sport at just two-years-old under the guidance of legendary horseman, Jimmy McConnell “Big Mac”. The following year, he returned to the Celebration stage and earned the Three-Year-Old Reserve World Grand Championship title under the direction of Bill Callaway.

His success continued throughout his career, with Pro V-1 and Abby Fox teaming up to capture multiple titles. One of the highlights of their partnership came in 2015, when they claimed the Amateur 15.2 World Grand Championship, adding another prestigious World Grand Championship to an already impressive résumé.
For the past six years, Pro V-1 was proudly owned by the Ben Kail family who had the honor of calling him their own. During that time, he became much more than a champion; he became a treasured member of the family and a source of countless memories that will last a lifetime.

Pro V-1 accumulated more accomplishments than could ever be fully listed. Yet, beyond the championships and accolades, those who knew and showed him will remember the heart he brought to every performance. He was a horse that gave everything he had each time he stepped through the gate—a true athlete with the talent, determination and presence that separated him from the rest.

His legacy will live on through the many championships he earned, the people whose lives he touched and the memories created along the way. Pro V-1 was truly one of the greats and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing, showing and loving him.
