He graduated from Howard (Samford) College in 1961 and began his career as a pharmacist thereafter until his retirement. He owned and operated Hugh’s Pharmacy, Inc. with his wife Ann for 50+ years. Hugh truly loved and appreciated his coworkers and many customers.

In addition to family, Hugh Allen is survived by very special friends Johnny Hamiter, Craig Jordan, and many others. The family would like to thank caregiver Karen Scott for her dedication and love to both Hugh and Ann.
Along with the love for his family, his passion was riding and showing his Tennessee Walking horses where he garnered many accolades and much success in the show ring.
We find comfort in knowing his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
