WHTA Auxiliary Presents 2025 Scholarships

Each year the Walking Horse Trainers’ Auxiliary awards scholarships to eligible candidates involved with Tennessee Walking Horses who are furthering his/her education. Each application is professionally evaluated and scored by several qualified professional people. Beth Thomas and Kari Tisma, both educators in Bedford County, Tennessee, and Stephanie Elliott, also an educator from Tuscumbia, Alabama, are the chairman of the Auxiliary Scholarship Committee. During the Money Tree Classic on July 4 th , four young adults were presented with the Auxiliary Scholarship. Recipients were: Cohen Abernathy, Julia Callaway, Molly Wooldridge and Maggie Beth Taylor.

SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The last night of The Celebration had come. With spectators and exhibitors all in their finest attire, the stands crowded with people waiting to watch the crowning of the 2025 World Grand Champion. SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – Friday night marks the second world grand championship night at The Celebration. It also has come to be known as Military and First Responder Appreciation Night. The festivities began with the flag being presented by White Diamond Dollar and Vicki Self, posting in the south turn. Then, Tim Brooks of the Christian Ministries Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, said the invocation, while Jody McBrayer of Franklin sang the national anthem.
