Burl Wayne Kail, age 82, of Alamo, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born on November 21, 1942 in the Badgett–Maury City Junction Community.

Mr. Kail was a farmer, licensed auctioneer, and real estate broker. He was also a licensed Tennessee Walking Horse judge, having officiated shows throughout the Southeast. He took great pride in the Walking Horse industry and enjoyed attending shows and supporting those who continued the family tradition. He began attending the Tennessee National Walking Horse Celebration in 1967 and never missed a year until his health declined.

He is survived by his son, Ben Kail (Gayla); daughters, Donna Reynolds (Rusty) and Elaine Slaughter; eleven grandchildren, Crystal Reasons (Justin), Matt Reynolds (Danielle), Maggie, Jada, Jack, and Clay Kail, Tucker Kail (Nisha), Mallory Yates (Eric), Kelsey Callins (Dallas), Macy Rickman (Alan), and Corey Slaughter; ten great-grandchildren, with one arriving soon; five sisters and one brother; and the mother of his children, Marolyn Kail.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Kail; three brothers; his parents, Evon Perry Kail O’Neal and Jesse Burl Kail Sr.; and his grandparents, Benonie and Mattie Lou Perry and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kail.

Private graveside services for Mr. Burl Wayne Kail were held on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Maury City Cemetery.
